Agrippina G. (Severino) Mazzola

Mazzola, Agrippina “Bebe/Aggie” – of Lynnfield, formerly of Revere and Portland ME, passed away peacefully on January 15, in Peabody at the age of 95.  She was the beloved wife of the late Philip J. Mazzola who predeceased her in March 1995.  Agrippina was born in Portland, ME on November 29, 1920 to her loving parents Biaggio and Pauline (Deforte) Severino. She was a graduate of Portland High School in 1938.  Bebe was the devoted mother of Dolores (Mazzola) Ciccanesi and her partner Robert Bompane of Peabody and Richard Mazzola and his wife Maryann of Lynnfield. Loving grandmother of Susan Ciccanesi of NH, Joseph Ciccanesi III and his wife Stephanie of NH, and Carolyn Mazzola of CA.  She is the devoted great-grandmother to Ava and Addison Ciccanesi and aunt to several beloved nieces and nephews. Agrippina was the sole surviving sibling of the Severino /Vasile Family.  She was predeceased in death by her brothers James Vasile, Anthony (Tony) and John (Sonny) Severino; and sisters, Mary Gilberti, Nancy Pompeo, Jenny Ciriello, Josephine Mayer and Stella Brelis.  Aggie is survived by in-laws Tina Severino, Peter Brelis as well as Mary and Ciro Mazzola, Joseph Mazzola and Lucille Barengo. She was a devout parishioner at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish and member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She regularly attended the Lynnfield and Peabody Senior Citizen Centers where you could always find her socializing, exercising and crocheting “Hug-A Bears” and “Calico Cats” for less fortunate and sickly children. Aggie spent many wonderful years vacationing with her husband and family in Maine and wintered in Ft. Lauderdale with her husband Phil. Aggie's funeral will begin from the Funeral Home on Thursday Jan. 21st at 9am. Her Funeral Mass will be held  in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield at 10am. Relatives and friends may visit with the family in the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8p. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living and Dr. Matthew S. Shwartz Hospice and Palliative Care Center for their kind and gentle care. Donations in Aggie’s memory may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, 17 Grove Street, Lynnfield, MA. 01949 or to the Dr. Matthew S. Shwartz Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 123 Captain Row, Chelsea, MA 02150.
