My Mother was amazing in so many ways. The greatest memories she gave to Bill and Alex and I are the 3 years she rented an apartment in Scottsdale AZ in 2004-2006. She came out to spend the first 3 years of Alex's life with him so he should know how much she loved him and cared. Thank you Mom. We love you and will miss you everyday.

Betsy was such an inspiration to and so many in the Newburyport acting community. Her sweet and generous nature will be sorely missed by all. That was a beautiful obituary. Thanks to the writer/s for helping know about Betsy more deeply.
May flights of angels sing her to her rest

The years have taught me that the legacy of any person does not reside in what the have done or built. It does not reside in the money or "stuff" they are able to leave behind. A persons true legacy is found in their children, and their children's children.

Are they good people? Do the love others and love much and often? Do they have compassion towards others? Do they care for those in need.

We can say that Betsy did well in this department. Everyone of her family that We have been blessed to meet, has seemed to have been given those qualities of goodness, love, care and compassion. She will most certainly be missed, and most certainly live on through her family.

We were blessed to have known her.

Prayers for your family during this time.

Mom loved your whole entire family! She always asked who was doing what....she loved that each of you had so much passion about life.
Thank you for always being so gracious to her while she lived out in Arizona, those were precious years .

Thank you Kathleen, Michael and Jacqueline. Mom talked about the trip she and I took to New York City years ago and had dinner with you when Jacqueline was a baby. She loved life, her family and the theater.

Betsy was the most amazing stage manager. She was amazing with all the little details that go into organizing any backstage. She was loving, supportive and so kind to everyone.

Remembering Betsy (and Ted who loved her so deeply), the days in Westford raising our families, and their daughters Cindy, Mary, Sarah, and Barbara (you've grown into lovely women). Borrowing from Meryl Streep (theatre connection, and with daughters of her own): "I think the best role models for women are people who are fruitfully and confidently themselves, who bring light into the world." Betsy was all that and more. Share your precious memories often, laugh, and remember -- it's what your mom would want.

I'm send healing vibrations to the Harpley Family. I was honored to have Betsy in my massage practice at The Tannery in Newburyport, for several years. She was a wonderful woman. I still have a drawing one of her grandchildren made for me. Thinking of you all....

I enjoyed working with and knowing Betsy when she was involved with the Women's leadership Council at Lahey. She was such a bright light and lovely person. She was so proud of the program she developed with the Oncology department. Everyone who knew Betsy at Lahey loved her. She will be missed by many and serves as a role model to all of us on The Womwn's Leadership Council. Cindy Gruber
