I'm not sure you will ever get this, but, Gordon, for some reason thought about Fred today and found out that he had passed away. It had been such a long time since we last saw you. We always had fond memories of spending time with you and Fred - even after the New England Regional Commission. Let me know if you ever receive this. Such a wonderful person taken too early. Hope you and your family are coping ok after this tragic event.

Although I have not seen Fred for many years, I can still picture the genuine smile on his face when meeting new people. I know of no one who enjoyed meeting new people more than Fred, a trait we should all live by to make the world a better place.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Fred's untimely passing. I had the distinct honor and privilege of working with and knowing Fred during his days at the New England Regional Commission and subsequent endeavors in both the private and public sectors.. He was truly an honorable and decent human being whom I am proud to have known. His love for his wife, Joy, and their daughters was evident in our many discussions about our respective families and I want to express my condolences to them on their loss of a wonderful husband and father.

Dear Joy and family,
I was so sorry to hear about Fred's passing. I only met him once when we (Charlie, John and myself) stayed in your home in Boston. We have very fond memories of the short time with you. You put up strangers and made us most welcome. Fred was a lovely man. Sincere condolences from all of us across the pond.
Suzanne, Charlie and John.
