Dorothy “Dottie” Morris, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 5th. Dottie was born on February 25th, 1960 to John and Irene Campbell and grew up in Somerville, MA. She is survived by her loving husband William “Bill” Morris and her two children Melissa and Keith Morris, 25 and 20 respectively, as well as countless family and friends.
Dottie was a truly exuberant spirit, she led her life with passion and unadulterated strength. She will be remembered for her deep compassion toward everyone she knew, with arms constantly open to any person in need. She never hesitated to show her love, and loved everyone close to her with overwhelming depth. She was a lover of music and locally known as an incredible singer and found joy in making music with people, especially her husband Bill, equally well known locally for his guitar playing. She also loved nature, the ocean, the arts, traveling, volunteering and helping others, and spending time with people she loved, especially at the waterfront home she designed and built on Martin's Pond in North Reading, her pride, joy, and dream come true. She was an unforgettable host and truly the life of the party. Her warmth and fiery soul lives on through her two children and through the countless people who knew and boundlessly loved her, from all over the world and all walks of life, accepting and welcoming any person into her heart.
We love and miss you, you are a force that can never be forgotten and who can never be replaced or compared. We find peace in knowing she is now being embraced by those she had loved and lost, including her mother Irene, who she lost too young. We are remiss to lose her and will hold her in our hearts for the remainder of our own lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation in the Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 11th from 4-7:30pm. A time of remembrance will be held at 7:30pm with the family. Please omit flowers, in lieu of which we ask for an “in memoriam” donation to the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN). https://lymphaticnetwork.kindful.com/?campaign=232534
