Dorothy A. (Stilianos) Copoulos, 86, of Peabody, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 25, 2018. Born in Lynn, Mass, to the late Margaret and Arthur Stilianos, she graduated from Lynn English High School and Lynn Hospital School of Nursing. She was an RN specializing in geriatric nursing and was the Director of Nursing for many years at several long term care facilities. Upon retirement, she co-founded Silver Linings, a consulting service for the aging and their families.
Dottie and her late husband, Alexander, resided in West Peabody for 56 years where they raised their three children. Their house was a favorite gathering spot for their large extended family, neighbors, and friends. Everyone was always welcome at Dottie’s for food, drink, conversation and fellowship. She was a devoted Yiayia (grandmother) to many and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Dottie is survived by her sons, Ernest Copoulos of Peabody, Michael Copoulos of Hope Mills, NC, her daughter Jan Haseldine and husband Mike of Annapolis, MD, grand-daughters, Crista, Theadora, and Eva, and great-grandson, Henry. She is also survived by her beloved sisters Jenny Copoulos of Florida, Alie Andrews of New York, Aliki Stilianos of California, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander, brother George, and grand-son Alex.
