Anna E Hutchinson

Anna (Aresco ) Hutchinson, age 79, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Sunday November 3rd, 2019. She is the loving daughter of the late Antonio and Frances (Garro) Aresco. She is a sister to Salvatore Aresco of Malden and the late Angelo Aresco. Anna is survived by her 4 loving children and 3 grandchildren, Stephen Hutchinson of Boynton Beach, FL; Paul Hutchinson and his girlfriend Nikki Gousie of Hampton, NH; Mark Hutchinson of Lynn; and Susan Rodrigues and her husband Manny of Reading. Anna was born on November 5, 1939 in Canicattini Bagni, Italy. After immigrating to the United States at age 7 Anna and her family spent many years in Boston’s North End. As a child she had much joy mentoring family arriving from Italy on their transition to life in America. Anna received a Catholic elementary school education and graduated from Malden High School in 1959.  Anna was a resident of Reading for 45 years where she proudly raised her four children. Anna was a devoted mother and committed to her children’s education. Over her lifetime she was a member of the community organizations like Welcome Wagon, PTO, Boy Scouts and Reading Scholarship Foundation.  Anna devoted her life around her family and will be remembered as a strong, Sicilian woman by all. She was a notably devoted daughter who cared for her mother Frances, who lived to be over 100 years old. Symbolically, Anna passed on the day of her mother’s birthday just shy of her own 80th birthday.  Anna’s enjoyed both cooking and traveling.  She loved traveling especially to her son Stephen's in Florida. Recently, she enjoyed sitting and socializing at her apartment’s pool community where she’ll be remembered as the “town mayor”. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren Leah, James, and Charlotte Rodrigues. Anna will be forever missed by family and many friends.  Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), NORTH READING, at Reading line on Wednesday, November 6th at 9am followed by a funeral mass at St. Athanasius Church in Reading at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment Wood End Cemetery in Reading.
