Moynihan, Barbara (Fontaine) -Of Wilmington, (formerly of Burlington), Feb. 16th. Beloved wife of the late Francis William Moynihan. Devoted Mother of Sheryl Oldroyd and her husband Ken of Houston, Texas, Gayle Moynihan of New York City, Thomas Moynihan and his wife Anita of Atlantic Beach, Florida, Richard Moynihan and his wife Nancy of Shelbourne Falls, MA, Lynne Clemens and her husband Paul of North Reading, MA and Tracey Jezerski and her husband Bob of Dracut, MA. Loving daughter of the late Albert Fontaine and Lillian (Arnaud). Dear sister of the late Paul Fontaine, Dorothy Hux and Rita Belanger. Adored great - grandmother of Shane, Logan, Cameron, Henry, Hayden, Mya, Cooper, Benjamin, Nevaeh, and Sophia.

Barbara known as "Buzzy" to her friends always had a smile for all those she met.  She was a wonderful mother and wanted everyone to know she had six beautiful children.  While raising her family she enjoyed a career in retail, working at Franklin Simon, Ms. Money Penny and Loehmann's in Burlington.  She was a "personal shopper" for her daughters!  She enjoyed fashion and was always "dressed to the nines" with matching scarf and jewelry for every outfit. She loved cooking for her family and would have a delicious dinner ready for the whole family every night.  Everyone was welcome at her house where you would find great food, fun and drinks. When her grandchildren came along she loved having them at her home and filled her den with toys and movies for them.

She loved to dance and would tell you she was voted best dancer in her high school class.  Barbara and her husband Frank made sure they enjoyed date nights and would go ballroom dancing at the Danvers Port Yacht club.

Upon retirement Barbara volunteered at the Burlington Senior Center.  Barbara recently resided at Windsor Place in Wilmington and appreciated visits full of laughter, a little dancing in her chair, a bowl of ice cream and some chocolate for sure! Donations in lieu of flowers to: Burlington council on aging, 61 Center St. Burlington, ma. 01803.

At the request of the family all services were privately held.
