Barbara Lee (Eisener) Wade

Barbara Lee Wade, 69, of Litchfield, NH, died on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at her home. Born November 7, 1951, Barbara grew up in Norwood and graduated from Norwood High School, class of 1969. She earned her degree, with honors, from Katharine Gibbs School in Accounting. She settled in Needham and then Reading and raised her family. Barbara was kind hearted, compassionate, and always quick to lend a hand or an ear.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and member of the community. Often seen walking across town to the families Service Station she was the glue that held the family and business together. Her greatest joys were her two sons, Scott and Keith. She was supportive and proud of her boys’ many endeavors. This evidenced by those dreaded 5am hockey practices and the imposing 16-hour commute to the New York Military Academy on many weekends. Barbara was a passionate gardener and native bird enthusiast. Later in life, she enjoyed the comings and goings of her variety of feathered friends from the nests they’d built in her gardens. Barbara had a dry sense of humor and a sarcastic wit that could only be matched by her sister, Kathie. Together, they were often referred to as the “evil twins” as their unique laughter would fill a room. Barbara is survived by her two loving sons, Scott Wade of Londonderry, NH and Keith Wade and his wife Kimberly of Londonderry.  Beloved daughter of the late Helena (Murphy) Wade. Loving sister of Kathie Frawley and her husband Gary of Newton and her brother Harry Eisener and his wife Cindy Sauers of West Harwich. Cherished aunt of Dr. Laura Frawley and her husband Brian Knowles, Merissa Antonuccio and her husband Joseph, Jeremy Eisener, Nicholas Eisener, and the late Kimberly Frawley.  Family and friends are cordially invited to gather with Barbara’s Family at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park Street, North Reading on Tuesday, July 20th from 4 to 6:30pm.  A Funeral Service will immediately follow the visitation at 6:30pm.
