Camille, "Millie" Healey, beloved wife of the late David T. Healey, passed away on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023. Camille was born in the North End of Boston in 1932. She grew up in East Boston until her marriage to David Healey in 1956 when they moved to and resided in North Reading for many years before moving to Lynnfield.
Millie had a fun loving spirit and loved family gatherings with her many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was well known for her "Millies's chili" at her niece Denises annual 4th of July cookout.
She had a passion for Geneology and and spent many years researching her family history and that of her husbands.
She was a devoted grandmother to her only grandchild Jessica and became known as Jessica's "toast buddy" when Jess would spend many visits to grandma and grandpa's house as a young child.
Dave and Millie were married for 60 years and enjoyed traveling and spending time at their house on Lake Sunapee.
Throughout the years Millie enjoyed finding a neighborhood breakfast place and quickly became a very well loved fixture of the establishment. Making new friends and including old friends especially her dearest friend Joan MacDonald.
Millie is the devoted mother of Maureen Sicari and her husband Amedeo of Fitchburg, Sharon Armstead of Methuen and Virginia Healey of Methuen. Cherished grandmother of Jessica Armstead. Loving sister of John Venuti of Revere, Annemarie Schepici and the late Virginia DiSalvo. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and her beloved family dog Jackson.
Funeral Service will be held from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Thursday, April 13th, 2023 at 9:30am, followed by a funeral mass celebrating Millie's Life at St. Theresa's Church, 63 Winter St., North Reading at 10:30am.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 from 4 to 7pm.
Burial will be held privately.
