Clark Davidson Obituary

A loving man who cared deeply for family and friends

Clark E. Davidson, beloved husband of Judith (Sarra) Davidson passed away on December 7, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Clark was born in Iola, KS on December 10, 1953 and was the son of the late James and Virginia (Cook) Davidson.  He grew up in Kansas City, MO and was a graduate of North Kansas City High School and attended Iowa State University.  In 1998, he met the love of his life Judy. They married and settled in Judy’s hometown of North Reading, MA.

As a young man, Clark would spend summers and school vacations on his grandparent’s farm, working side by side with this grandfather.  He was a former Eagle Scout with a love of the outdoors.  A particular passion of his was going off the beaten path in his various Toyota Land Cruisers, which sometimes resulted in them having to be extricated from the mud or snow.  Always adventurous, he enjoyed hunting, camping trips, and hijinks with his lifelong friends and cherished his annual dove hunting excursions with them to Sikeston, MO.

Appreciated by all for his wonderful cooking abilities, most notably his BBQ, Clark enjoyed preparing and smoking his own meats, especially bacon and brisket.  The breads and rolls he made were baked with love and delicious!  With anything he cooked, if you let Clark know you liked something in particular, you were sure to get more the next time he saw you.  Entertaining and feeding people brought Clark such happiness.  He was always coming up with any reason to get together with family and friends to eat, drink and share stories. Clark was also an avid gardener, constantly searching for ways to make the next batch of vegetables better - no doubt a passion he inherited from his Grandfather.

A voracious reader, Clark was well versed on many topics and was never parted from his Kindle for long.

Clark was a Construction Project Superintendent for many years and he loved his job.  His work took him all over the country where he made many friends with whom he has remained close over the years.

A kind and caring man of unwavering generosity, devoted to his wife, family and friends, Clark will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Clark is survived by Judith, his wife of 20 years; his sister Holly Davidson of Springfield, MO and is pre-deceased by his parents, brothers Mark Davidson and Kirk Davidson, his sister Jana Cowen and nephew Nathaniel Cowen.  He is the cherished brother-in-law to Frank Sarra and his wife Becky, Nancy Gagne and her husband Gary and Jeffrey Sarra and his wife Stacie; a loving Uncle to Kate, Isabelle, Amy, Jessie, Bryan, Shannon, Bre, Howard, Ben and Ivy as well as being Great Uncle to many more nieces and nephews.  Clark also leaves behind his much-loved dog, Scout.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park Street, North Reading, MA on Friday, December 17th, 2021.  Visiting hours begin at 5:00 PM and will be followed by a memorial service at 6:30. Interment will be held privately.
