Elia Bianchetto Obituary

Elia “Helen” Bianchetto, beloved mother of Denise O’Reilly and Lee Bianchetto, died on August 23, 2018 at the age of 95 years young at her home in Brooksby Village Retirement Community in Peabody, MA where she has resided for the past 13 years.  She was born and raised in New York City and worked for many years as an Executive secretary for an attorney at McGraw Hill Publishing Co., and St. Francis Hospital Audiology Department in Poughkeepsie, NY.  She moved to Poughkeepsie, NY in 1951 with her husband Enzio where they raised their two children.  

She is survived by her daughter Denise O’Reilly and her husband Timothy of Wellesley, MA, son Lee Bianchetto and his wife Jean of Reading, MA, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren which includes Devin O’Reilly, his wife Leslie and their children Shea, Sloane, and Maeve of Wellesley, MA; Trevor O’Reilly, his wife Brooke and their children Tucker and Morgan of Wellesley, MA; Ryan Bianchetto, his wife Annemarie and their children Tyler and Brayden of Chelmsford, MA;  Matthew Bianchetto, his wife Elizabeth, and their daughter Eleanor of Ipswich, MA; Carla Bianchetto Eberle, her husband Nathaniel, and their children Oliver and Neve of Andover, MA.  

Throughout her life, Elia cherished her extended family near and far making many new friends along the way.  She easily shared her pride in her Italian heritage including language, music, and recipes. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, 10:00 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Reading, MA with burial to be held at a later date in Poughkeepsie, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Elia’s memory to the Brooksby Village Staff Appreciation Fund, 300 Brooksby Village Dr., Peabody, MA 01960.
