Frank Howard MacMillan III (Howie) – 64 of Andover died unexpectantly on December 2nd. Howie grew up in North Reading and was a graduate of Northeast Vocational High School, class of 1976. He was extremely charming, funny, and lived an adventurous independent lifestyle. He loved to ride his motorcycle, enjoyed fishing, boating, was an avid car enthusiast & chess player, relished in the art of grilling and truly enjoyed training his faithful and loyal dog – Cato, a Belgian Malinois.
He was successfully self-employed and owned and operated several businesses. Howie worked for the Carpenters Local Union and retired in 2019.
He was a devoted father to his son Scott Michael MacMillan and predeceased by his father Frank Howard MacMillan Jr, stepfather Robert V. Condon, and survived by his mother, Patricia Condon, brother Scott MacMillan, sisters Lisa DiGiorgio & Patricia MacMillan, nephews John & Michael DiGiorgio, brother-in-law Giovanni DiGiorgio and his former wife Anne Cavalieri.
Howie will dearly be missed by his countless friends and loving family. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 15th from 4-8 p.m at Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte.28) North Reading.
