Capano,George F. III -Of Andover. After a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Son of George Jr. and Madeline (Zizza) Capano of Andover. Brother of Tony and his wife Jenny of Pensacola, FL, Cris Tavares and her husband Dave of Andover, Chris of Andover, Madelyn Curry and her husband Doug of Andover, Mike and his wife Erin of Andover and Richie and his wife Sarah of Salem, NH. George is also survived by nephews Craig, David, Dennis, Mikey, Charlie, Jack and Henry, and a niece, Lily and many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Born and raised in Revere, MA, George was a proud member of the Class of 1982 at St. Dominic Savio High School in East Boston and a 1986 graduate of Stonehill College. Always possessing a strong business sense George started his career at the Pride Motor Group in Lynn, MA eventually becoming the general manager of the dealership. Following that George showed his entrepreneurial spirit in starting several small businesses, always looking for the next big thing. George spent his last years in the business world at Empire Direct where he was recognized for his salesmanship and even more well known for the relationships he had with his clients.
The oldest of his siblings, and one of the eldest of a large group of close knit cousins, George reveled in the time he spent with his family, from playing 1 / 2 games and building backyard forts in his youth, countless summer days spent at his grandparents swimming pool, on to grown up fun, at weddings, anniversaries and other family gatherings. George was always the coolest guy in the room, always ready for the next fun moment though never too cool to bring those close to him along for the ride. As the saying goes he was always ready to ‘give the shirt off his back’ to someone in need and would never expect a dollar in return. And, in a true testament to his good nature, there was not a dog on earth that did not end up with a new best friend after meeting him. As his long battle with MS continued, George’s positive spirit and great smile never wavered. He handled any setback with grace, happy to be surrounded by his loved ones and always inquiring about his beloved niece and nephews. We will remember George for his courage in the face of his MS diagnosis, for his kindness towards all, and for his unwavering spirit to the end.
