Katherine "Kay" (Walsh) Mahoney

Mahoney, Katherine E. “Kay” (Walsh) - of Peabody, formerly of North Reading, passed away on Saturday August 1st at the age of 78.  Beloved wife of the late Redmond Mahoney.  Loving mother of Brian Mahoney and his wife Theresa of East Kingston NH, Maureen Zdinak and her husband Peter of Tewksbury, Steven Mahoney and his wife Christine of Pelham NH, Sean Mahoney and his wife Stephanie of Windham NH, Scott Mahoney and his wife Jennifer of North Reading, Susan Kenney and her husband Brian of Stoneham and the late Karen Mahoney. Adored daughter of the late Albert Walsh and Pauline (Hale). Dear sister of Robert Walsh and his wife Nancy of Nashua NH and William Walsh and his late wife Marie – Helèné of Belgium.  Cherished grandmother of nine including the late Brendan Mahoney. Katherine loved doing many things including traveling, reading, playing keno, walking on the beach and being around family.  She worked in the North Reading school system for many years along with the Registry of Motor Vehicles.  Katherine was loved by all her family and friends, she will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home on Tuesday August 11th at 9:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Theresa’s Church 63 Winter St. (Rte 62) North  Reading at 10:30am.  Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday from 4-8pm in the funeral home.  Interment River Side Cemetery, North Reading.  In lieu of flowers Donations may be made in Katherine’s name to a charity of your choice.
