Kathleen Ann (Bucci) Kachichian

Kathleen Ann (Bucci) Kachichian, beloved wife of John A. Kachichian, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the age of 77.    

Kathleen was born and raised in Everett, MA, and was a 1963 graduate of St. Rose High School in Chelsea.  She attended Salem State University, earning a Bachelors Degree in Education, followed by a Master’s Degree in Reading.  Kathleen was a third grade teacher in the Saugus Public School system for eleven years and later became a preschool educator at the Sandra Lane Nursery School in Reading for 25 years until her retirement in 2011.  She married the love of her life John in 1977 and settled in Reading in 1979 to begin their family life together.

Kathleen was a regular churchgoer wherever she went, and spent years teaching religious education at St. Athanasius.  She enjoyed shopping, dining out, and traveling, having been to four continents and many more countries around the world, in addition to trips across the United States.  Kathleen especially loved wintering in Fort Myers, Florida, which she always said extended her life many years over.  Her greatest joy, however, came from her loving family.  She will be greatly missed by her husband of 45 years, John, her son John, her siblings, nieces, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Kathleen is the devoted mother of John P. Kachichian of Park City, Utah.  Beloved daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Keegan) Bucci.  Loving sister of Peter Bucci and his wife Marie of Revere, Rosemary LeDonne and her husband John of Exeter, NH and the late John Bucci of Winchester, MA.  Cherished aunt of Suzanne McMahon and her husband Ray of Cape Neddick, Maine and Jan Weick and her husband Rich of Newmarket, NH.

Visiting hours will be held at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (Located at Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 from 4 to 7pm. 

Funeral from the Cota Funeral on Thursday, August 18th, 2022 at 9:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Kathleen’s Life at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 10:30am.

Interment to follow in Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
