Matthew F. Sullivan, beloved husband of the late Elaine (Madden) Sullivan, passed away on Monday, September 13th, 2022 at the age of 89. Born and raised in Cambridge, he is the beloved son of the late Henry and Ethel (Doucette) Sullivan.
Matthew was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a Sheriff in the Middlesex Sheriff's Department for over 30 years until his retirement. Matthew enjoyed watching sports, having a good meal at a nice restaurant and spending time at the family home in Ossippe, New Hampshire. Matthew's greatest joy came from being with his family and his faithful companion, the family dog, Pablo.
Matthew is the devoted father of Norma Diorio and her husband Bruno, Charles Curtin and Ron Sullivan and the late Michael Sullivan and his wife Gail and Peggy D'Angelo and her husband Joe. Cherished grandfather of Eric and Amanda Sullivan, Danielle Finley and her husband Eric, Paul, Carmen, Sophia and Olivia Diorio, Stephen Curtin, Michael and Ryan D"Angelo and Trevor Sullivan. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and is pre deceased by his siblings.
