Phyllis “Mickey” Rossetti, 74, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, has passed into the Kingdom of our Lord on June 4th of the year 2020, following her courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her two brothers, John and Thomas Rossetti, four nephews, and her beloved extended family to whom she brought joy, wisdom, exemplary cuisine. Mickey is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Erminia “Amy” Rossetti.
Mickey was born in Medford, MA on July 21, 1945, and graduated from Matignon High School in Cambridge, MA. A diligent worker, Mickey had a fulfilling 43-year career for the TJX Corporation, from which she retired as Assistant Vice President in 2012.
With dedication in all she did, Mickey was known for her love of opera, travel, gardening, reading, and the culinary arts. A longtime resident of Boston’s North End neighborhood, she was a parishioner of St. Leonard’s Church, and an active choir member.
She will be remembered in the hearts of her friends and family for her keen intelligence, unwavering faith, and the love and charity she brought to the world.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico in her name. A funeral service for Mickey will be held at St. Leonard’s church 320 Hanover St. in Boston, MA, at 10:00 AM on July 16, 2021. Please meet directly at the church.
