Richard Lougee Obituary

Richard C. Lougee, long time resident of Wakefield, passed away on July 26, 2021, peacefully with his family by his side. Born in Boston, Richard was the son of the late Claude and Cecilia (Amarault) Lougee. Richard was raised in Lynn, MA along with his 8 siblings.  Richard was an employee of the Raytheon Company working as a Design Draftsman for 42 years, retiring in 2000. Richard loved golfing and was a member of the Gannon Municipal Golf Course in Lynn for over 5 decades. He enjoyed his golf outings with his daughter Mary, teaching her the game and sharing his love for the sport. Richard also enjoyed fishing with his brothers and when not on the golf course, you could find him on the lake, either ice or shore fishing. Richard leaves his wife Leslie, his daughter Mary and son-in-law Steven Saritelli, and his grandchildren Giacobbi, Bianca, and Gideon Lambert, all of NH. He also has a son, Richard, from a previous marriage. Richard is survived by his siblings Gilbert, David, Judy, John and James, his sister-in-law Gail as well as many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his brothers George, Arthur and Terence Lougee. Services are provided by Cota Funeral Home in North Reading. There are no calling hours. Graveside services are limited to family and are private. There will be a Celebration of Life for Richard and his brother George on October 3, 2021 at the Gannon Municipal Golf Club in Lynn, MA.
