Mac was born and raised in Winthrop, Massachusetts. After graduating from Winthrop High School, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. For many years, he worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the General Electric in Lynn. In addition, Mac was a talented woodworker and photographer. He tackled any problem with his vast knowledge. Although he was quiet, he always the first person to call when guidance and wisdom was needed in a situation. He had an appreciation for learning. He made sure that his children and grandchildren received all the education they desired.
One of Mac’s favorite places was his vacation home in York Beach, Maine. He built this home so his family could spend time together in the summer, also known as everyone’s “happy place”. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, on the beach. You could also find him puttering around the house, tending to his garden, or watching the Red Sox or the Celtics with a glass of wine.
Mac was a kind, loving, and thoughtful man and will be missed and remembered by many lives he touched. He was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren, family and many close friends.
