Robert Newton, III Obituary

Robert A. Newton, III, beloved husband of Julie (Lyon) Newton, passed away on Sunday, February 6th, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.  Born in Newport, Rhode Island, he is the son of the late Robert Jr. and Dorothy (White) Newton.

Rob and his family lived many places throughout the U.S.  His father’s job brought them everywhere.   He graduated from Westboro High School and then attended and earned a Bachelor Degree from Brown University.  Rob married his wife Julie and they settled in North Reading to raise their family.  For many years, he worked in commercial construction in sales.  Rob enjoyed tennis and golf and he especially loved vacations at his home in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.  Rob will be missed by his loving and devoted family.

In addition to being survived by his wife of 52 years, Julie, he is the devoted father of Robert Newton of North Reading and Christine Newton and her fiancé Jedrek Miskevitch of Billerica.  Beloved brother of Gwendolyn Newton and her husband Robert Metcalfe and the late Richard Newton and the late Ronald Newton and loving uncle of four nieces and one nephew. 

Services for Rob will be held privately.
