Ronald Ricci Obituary

Ronald G. Ricci, loving husband of Donna (Alex) Ricci, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Monday, September 25th, 2023, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born in Everett, he is the loving son of Maria (Tracanna) Ricci and the late Giuseppe Ricci.

Affectionately known as Ron or Ronaldo, he grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School, class of 1975. After high school, Ron began his career working as a commuter rail machinist and owning his own limousine business, Ronaldo's Limousines. He met the love of his life, Donna, at the age of 13. They married on August 7th, 1977 and settled in Everett, where they began raising their four children before eventually moving to Andover.

A gifted and mechanically inclined man, Ron was hard-working, intelligent, and artistic. He worked as a machinist, mechanic, and inspector for the Massachusetts Commuter Rail System. Ron wanted to give his children the best life imaginable, something his family profoundly admired, and he worked tirelessly to achieve this.

Ron’s greatest joy came from being with his family. He was a dedicated and proud family man who will be deeply missed by the lives he enriched and made better by being in them.

He also loved animals, especially his faithful furry companions, his dogs Lucy, Sadie, and Penny. He was a storyteller by nature, which naturally led to captivating any audience. His smile and laugh were contagious. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, bowling, hockey, and soccer.

In addition to being the loving husband to Donna and beloved son of Maria, Ron is the devoted father of Joseph Ricci and his wife Kelly of Andover, Janel Trivelas and her husband Peter of Nantucket, Jeana Colangelo and her husband Adam of Bedford, Ronald Ricci of Andover and Charles "CJ" Giarratana, IV of Andover. He is the cherished grandfather of Joseph, Isabella, and Charlotte Ricci, Harrison, Eleanor, Willa, and the late Jack Trivelas, Alexander and Sara Colangelo, and Anthony and Autumn Ricci. In addition, he was the loving brother of Liliana Rochon and her daughter, Stephanie Cogliano of Medford and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to join with Ron's family for visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Rt. 28 and Park St. at the Reading Line) on Monday, October 2nd, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m.
