Frank Fritts, Jr., August, 19, age 83. The son of Frank Fritts Sr. and Mary Graham Fritts, born on June 9th, 1933 in Morristown, NJ. Frank attended various Prep Schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In 1952 at the age of 19 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served 20 years, retiring in 1972. He was a storekeeper in the Navy serving his entire career in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. After retiring from the Navy he worked for and retired from the Tidewater Community College in Virginia in the warehouse using his skills and experience gained in the Navy. He was active as a leader in church education departments, and in the Boy Scouts for 25 years in Virginia and North Carolina. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Branch 123 of Morganton, NC, and a life member of the USS Forrestal Association.

Frank lived at various times in Virginia and North Carolina, with his last years spent near family in Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his father Frank Fritts, Sr., mother Mary Graham Fritts, a sister Martha Jean Fritts, and a brother James Graham Fritts, his first wife Dorothy Sue Fritts, and second wife Rachel Brittain Fritts.

Frank is survived by his daughters Mary Sue Sonnenberg and husband of Southern Pines, NC; Patricia Ann Keyser and husband of Williamsburg, VA; son James Frank Fritts and wife of North Reading, MA; brother John Frederick Fritts and wife of New Vernon, NJ; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service held in the Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill St. North Reading at 3pm on Saturday, August 27th. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Franks name to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St. B-102 Danvers, MA 01923 or to a veteran’s charity of your choice.
