Jane, Mike, John, Erin and Emily:
Your Husband and father has been one of my closest friends, having known him for more than 40 years, it took me awhile to find what I thought would be fitting....it comes from the movie "A River Runs Through It"
"Each one us will at one time in our lives look upon a loved one who is in need and ask the same question: We are willing to help Lord, but what, if anything, is needed? For it is true we can seldom help those closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it is those we live with and should know......who elude us. But we can still love them....we can love them completely without complete understanding"
I will miss most the conversations, what usually was 2-3 minutes for the early years had turned into 30-45 minutes, sometimes longer, over the last several years, he could not talk enough about all of you.
I/we will miss him terribly.

Played football with Brooksie at BHS. What a great soul. A very funny, smart and kind person. To all of Jimmys family my thoughts are with you and your family. Jimmy was one of a kind and he will be missed. He was loved by many. RIP-NUNZI

Very sorry for your lost,knew Jimmy from LA fitness .

Nancy And Family, Words can not express our sorrow for the Brooks family at this time. Some of my father's best memories were up at Kezar lake with Jimmy. God bless Jimmy and the Brooks Family. P.S Hopefully they are in heaven driving around in that old beat up Dodge Pick up having a couple of BEERS.
