To Vincent, Anne and John my deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother. Marie was a wonderful woman, so full of love and life. Though she had a long life, our loved ones always leave us too soon. I have many fond memories of visits to her home and of family events where her effervescent personality shined on all of us.

My sincere condolences go out to all the Gatto families. Auntie Marie was a wonderful woman with a big heart who loved to laugh and feed everyone! She will be missed so much but I know she will be happy to be rejoined with Uncle, her sisters and family. Love to all!

My Aunt Marie, she was a wonderful woman. I know I am her favorite nephew (in Arizona), that’s how we started our phone conversations. I planned for at least an hour call when we talked, mostly about our children, grandkids, Patriots and Red Sox depending on the sports season. I remember when she came out for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary; it was a surprise so she stayed at our house. She almost didn’t because we had two rather large Rottweiler dogs. She was determined to take a picture of herself with them to prove she could do anything if she really wanted to!

Our condolences to the whole Gatto family. Your mom was/is the best. Ever since we first met her she always treated us special. I'm convinced she always thought I was too skinny. She was always trying to feed me even if I was coming over just after dinner. Besides food she always had a smile for me. It seems to me God made Italian moms extra special.
She always impressed me with her own special faith. You couldn't help but feel it. It seemed that her faith was more evident in action than word. She sure knew how to give without measure. Vinny, John and Ann, you've got to be counting your blessings many times for God to give you a mom like that.
Sometimes some peoples' words and actions might get you to ask yourself - Where is God? People like Mrs. Gatto got you to say "You need evidence of God? Here he is incarnate in HOLLYWOOD sized letters". The world is a much, much, better place for having her to have touched so many lives like ours. Everyone we meet helps to form us as a person, for better or worse. You couldn't help but learn from knowing Mrs. Gatto. Some people you've met you almost immediately try to forget but yet other people like Mrs. Gatto, well you know they've carved a place in your soul and you'll take their influence with you to the grave. I thank the Lord that I knew her and her family. God speed Mrs. Gatto. Now let God feed you to bursting at his banquet table and you can rub elbows with some saints. Look down on us from time to time and have the angels guide us. We miss you and hope to be with you some day.

Anne –

Perry and I are so saddened by your Mom’s passing. We both remember your Mom fondly. She was a kind and generous person and Perry especially loved going over to your house in Reading to swim in her pool. Of course, your Mom will forever hold a special place in Perry’s heart ever since the time she revealed that she thought he was “a good catch.”

You and your family have our deepest sympathy. Know we are thinking of you all. With Love, Denise and Perry

Marie was a wonderful person. I will never forget the Saturday morning coffees and food shopping with her and my grandmother for the "best deals". More money was spent on gas, but they saved money on all the sales at all the supermarkets.
